And the World Turns -- Using a Custom, Cold-Air Inflatable
Cameco's Custom Cold-Air Inflatable Educates Parade Goers
When you work in an industry that's complicated to explain, oftentimes it's easier to use visuals. Cameco Resources overcame this communications hurdle with the help of a custom cold air inflatable from Landmark Creations.
As America's largest uranium producer, Cameco supplies the resources for more than half the nation's clean-air electricity via nuclear power plants. With an eagle eye toward environmental protection, Cameco wanted to spread the word about the work they do and how it positively impacts our country. It all boils down to this: Cameco produces clean-air energy that is ecologically sound. To visualize this statement we crafted a globe (a prominent symbol representing earth friendliness) bearing the Cameco logo. Then Cameco took to the streets!
Ashley Pexton, Communications Specialist explains, "Currently we are using the globe in parades, 2 this year, and possibly 3 next year. We will use it at other public venues where we are a sponsor and also at internal events."
"We were photographed by the local media because of our creative float, and also created an understanding that uranium is used to generate clean air energy… What the World Needs. We chose Landmark because the work they showcased on their website was of the quality we wanted."
At only 31 pounds (and complete with blower, tethers, installation hardware and repair kit), this cold air inflatable globe can be easily transported anywhere in the world.

What Others Say About Landmark Creations
The inflatable complements our messaging since Ivar’s is a quirky restaurant that’s known for its antics.
- J. Werth, Ivar's Restaurant
"I chose Landmark Creations because they had a reasonable price for a customized inflatable. The other inflatables featured on their site made me confident that they could produce exactly what I was looking for."
- Sara Chadeck, KONO 101.1 FM
"[There was] fun, excitement, and encouragement for everyone to actually walk under/through [the arch] and it worked. We have cheerleaders and small children at the finish line by the arch handing out stickers, saying ‘I did it.’ Before we had the arch, [people] would straggle in anywhere."
- Jackie Allen, March of Dimes
"[The logo] helped us create a better presence, improved foot traffic, became a photo backdrop and helped us have the best-looking booth at the events,"
- Laura Repreza, KTLM Telemundo 40
"Our tunnel was also a great addition to our pre-game tradition: the Wildcat walk. Our city shuts down three blocks of downtown, and we have hundreds of fans lining the streets with a police escort, while we walk to the stadium."
- Sam Baker, Head Football Coach at Waconia High School
“This has created tremendous buzz around town and we have received a great deal of compliments on the Big Tire. Exposure is my goal, and the inflatable does that better than anyone, including me, can do at these events. The Big Tire never takes a break, gets tired or has to take a call. It just keeps shining bright and the kids love it.”
