Frisch's Restaurants Keep Customers Coming with a Rooftop Inflatable Mascot
Frisch's Big Boy Restaurants Top Off Promotions with Inflatable Mascot
For over 10 years, Frisch's Big Boy restaurants have succeeded with using their inflatable mascot. Dressed in his famous red and white checkered coveralls, this American icon waves to oncoming vehicles as they approach the location.
Big Boy is a familiar sight, but not one always associated with rooftop advertising balloons. But when drivers see his smiling face and curly locks sitting high atop the restaurant, they immediately get a hankering for double-decker hamburgers, freshly made onion rings and classic hot fudge cake.
After 10 years, Richard Conrad, Marketing Manager, would know whether an inflatable mascot rooftop balloon works or not. "We use the Big Boy inflatable [mascot] for grand openings, and stores that have special events occurring in close proximity to their location such as state fairs, Tennis Master tournaments and Fourth of July fireworks festivals.
We hope to draw attention to new stores, continue to raise awareness of our Big Boy character and increase business. We have used [rooftop advertising] balloons for over 10 years and have consistently seen increases in store traffic at display locations."
Why Landmark? Because we overpromise and overdeliver. "Landmark Creations seemed to promise a level of customer service that I did not see in other balloon manufacturers - and delivered on that expectation. I will return as a future customer." 'Nuf said!

What Others Say About Landmark Creations
"The inflatable arch allows for safe and easy setup and takedown. People have raved about the arch and have made requests to have it at their events."
- Karen Klevesahl, SMET Construction
"Just wanted to say how much we LOVE our inflatables. We tested them in our lobby where they were, of course, an instant hit for school group photos. Our leadership was quite pleased with the durability and the realism."
- Mike Hennessy, Carnegie Science Center
"We usually have to keep the arch up for at least 30 minutes after our races since so many people want to get their photos taken with it!"
- Art Boulet, Muddy Monk
“This has created tremendous buzz around town and we have received a great deal of compliments on the Big Tire. Exposure is my goal, and the inflatable does that better than anyone, including me, can do at these events. The Big Tire never takes a break, gets tired or has to take a call. It just keeps shining bright and the kids love it.”
- Ed Chaney, Ed Chaney Tire Center Inc.
“The huge cereal bag could be seen from anywhere and was a nice draw to gather people to the tents we had set up.”
- Anika Hage, WatersMolitor
"Our tunnel was also a great addition to our pre-game tradition: the Wildcat walk. Our city shuts down three blocks of downtown, and we have hundreds of fans lining the streets with a police escort, while we walk to the stadium."
- Sam Baker, Head Football Coach at Waconia High School
