Custom Inflatable Arch Gives Zoo Fans a Royal Welcome
Custom Inflatable Arch Impresses Akron Zoo Patrons
Carli Molinelli faced a king-size challenge. As Events Coordinator for the Akron Zoo, she needed to replace an old promotional display used at fairs and festivals.
It was a big, bulky castle structure made of PVC and styrofoam. And, according to Molinelli, it was "a pain to store and put up, and it just looked bad."
Molinelli wanted something new "that would WOW our guests and be an easy set-up."
So, she commissioned Landmark Creations to build an inflatable arch – large like the old display, with a similar castle theme, but much more up-to-date.
Following these instructions, Landmark crafted a custom inflatable – 13 feet high, 20 feet wide – featuring twin castle towers complete with medieval battlements.
Throughout the construction process, Landmark took a can-do approach. "We had to change dimensions a few times," says Molinelli, "and the Landmark team was great about all our changes."
The finished product was stunning. And it had the desired effect. "It did impress our guests," Molinelli reports, "and even other staff members continued to compliment" the design.

“This has created tremendous buzz around town and we have received a great deal of compliments on the Big Tire. Exposure is my goal, and the inflatable does that better than anyone, including me, can do at these events. The Big Tire never takes a break, gets tired or has to take a call. It just keeps shining bright and the kids love it.”
